Precious metals trading at the Hanau location is the heart and soul of the Heraeus Group’s global precious metal trading activities, along with additional centers in Hong Kong and New York. Eleven associates, including 5 traders, are employed at the Hanau office of Heraeus Metallhandelsgesellschaft mbH (HMG). They are responsible for procurement, price hedging and financing for the precious metals necessary for many areas of our company.
Not just internal units, but external customers as well are part of the customer group served by HMG. For them, regardless of the product business, HMG offers precious metals in physical and non-physical form, price hedging and precious metal financing.
HMG’s geographic focus lies in Germany and Western Europe. In addition, we serve customers in Eastern Europe, Africa, the Middle East and, increasingly for platinum metals, in Asia too.
